Frequently Asked Questions

General ÜberQuest Questions (aka ÜberQuestions)

What exactly is ÜberQuest?

In a nutshell, it's a long-term streaming gameplay program, where I'll be playing role-playing, adventure and other types of games that you as viewers suggest and vote on!

Quests, Submissions and Voting

How do I vote on the next Quest?

The current set of Quests can be found by visiting the Bounties link at the top of every page. The Bounty Board uses a weighted voting system, where you vote for a Quest by contributing Gold to its Bounty. Once the current Quest has been completed, the Quest with the highest Bounty on the Board will be selected as the next Quest. This selection occurs automatically via a mechanism I call the Victory Trigger.

Basically, the more a Quest is worth, the more appealing it is to would-be adventurers. And I'm just the would-be adventurer for the job.

How can I suggest a new Quest?

The submit link up top is what you're looking for. You can suggest any game for any system as a Quest, and attach a starting Bounty to it. If your Quest is accepted, it'll be added to the Bounty Queue, and will move up the Queue until enough Quests have been completed to move it to the Bounty Board! And if your suggested Quest is rejected for any reason (wrong genre, already played, too new, insert literally any reason here), your Gold will be returned to you immediately.

Note that the current minimum Bounty for new Quests is 200 Gold; this is mainly to keep submissions in the hands of regular viewers, and to prevent people from using the submission system to spam, etc.

Do I really need to donate to vote and submit?

Not at all! The moment you join the Guild using the purple "Connect with Twitch" button at the top of the page, you'll receive 100 G, which you can use right away. You'll also receive a monthly "stipend" of 100 G totally free!

None of ÜberQuest's features require any sort of donation at all; I just want to give people who are able to donate a little something extra in appreciation.

UberGuildmaster (the Bot)

So what's the deal with UberGuildmaster?

UberGuildmaster (without the umlaut, for Twitch's sake) is my bot, an instance of a custom Twitch chat bot I call ChannelMaster. In addition to supporting many of the same sorts of chat features of other bots, he supports a number of custom features specifically for me, including special triggers that let me use chat commands to directly affect the stream.

I'll be updating him over time, so the set of features he supports will continue to grow; I'm always open to suggestions for features you'd like to see as well!
